Tuesday, 10/17
- Text Change Committee of the Planning Commission met to discuss TC-16-17 regarding NCOD Development Standards. If adopted, the text change would expand the list of items considered for regulation and thereby increase the effectiveness of an NCOD’s ability to maintain the existing character of a neighborhood. The text change would reinsert numerous development standards that were previously allowed under the former Part 10 Development Code, including vehicular surface areas, minimum and maximum lot sizes, minimum and maximum lot widths, building entrances, building placement on the lot, and distances between buildings. TC-16-17 is on the agenda for Planning Commission on 10/24.
- Raleigh City Council denied Z-42-15 (Lake Wheeler Road) and set public hearings for Z-17-17 (Peace Street) and Z-21-14 (Brier Creek Parkway) for December 5th.
