Here are some of the events planned for the coming weeks.  It’s always helpful to have community members attend to show interest in these topics, ask questions, etc.  If you plan to attend any of these meetings, we’ll be glad to include your meeting summary in future articles.

• Registration open for 14th Annual Raleigh Neighborhood Exchange “UnConference” on 9/16
• Comments on the draft Six Forks Road Corridor Study accepted through 8/21

Monday, 8/14

• 7pm – Southwest CAC, Carolina Pines Community Center, 2305 Lake Wheeler Road

Tuesday, 8/15

• 9am – Text Change Committee, Room 307, agenda includes TC-11-17 (Senior Housing) and TC-16-17 (NCOD Development Standards)
• 11:30am – City Council work session
• 1pm – City Council afternoon session including public hearings on Z-1-17 (Falls of the Neuse Road), Z-4-17 (M.E. Valentine Drive), Z-40-16 (Oak Forest Road), Z-46-16 (Harden Road)
• 7pm – North CAC, Abbott Creek Community Center, 9950 Durant Road

Wednesday, 8/16

• 12noon – UDC Talks@Noon – Primitive Ways in an Accelerated World, Patrick Dougherty, COR Museum, 220 Fayetteville St.

Thursday, 8/17

• 10am – 2pm – Planning 100 by 100 Pop-Up – Market & Exchange Plazas
• 7pm – Atlantic CAC, Green Road Community Center, 4201 Green Road
